DESCRIPTION:2 x Half-Day Workshop\nMen’s violence against women is a serious, widespread, and growing problem in Western Australia. However, there are simple steps we can ALL take to prevent it.\nPreventing Violence Together (PVT) invites you to learn how you can play your part in ending men’s violence against women by attending our upcoming Foundations of Primary Prevention of Men’s Violence Against Women workshop.\nAbout this training\nThis training is based on Western Australia’s framework for primary prevention of men’s violence against women: Foundations for Change. It includes a range of interactive activities and resources.\nOver two half days, Foundations of Primary Prevention of Men’s Violence Against Women will provide participants with an introduction to:\n\nthe nature, prevalence and impacts of men’s violence against women\nthe gendered drivers of men’s violence against women\na primary prevention approach\nthe socio-ecological model\ntaking action to address the gendered drivers\nresponding to resistance and backlash.\n\n Workshop details\nDate/Times:\n\nPart 1: Wednesday 29 July, 9am – 1pm\nPart 2: Wednesday 30 July, 9am – 1pm\n\nVenue: 84 – 96 Brookman Street, Kalgoorlie\nCost: $80.
