The Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing (CWSW) has received funding from the Department of Communities to develop a Primary Prevention Framework and other related initiatives in collaboration with Stopping Family Violence (SFV) and Aboriginal stakeholders. The project will guide prevention activities, support capacity building and training efforts, and provide practice development support for the emerging prevention of violence against women sector in Western Australia.
PVT has now established a Steering Committee to provide support, guidance, and strategic oversight of the Framework project. The Steering Committee comprises:

The inaugural meeting of the Steering Committee was held earlier this week, with members expressing excitement about the project and a genuine commitment to supporting and enhancing the Western Australian primary prevention sector. The group recognised that the Framework project represents a significant step forward for the primary prevention of violence against women in WA.
