Project overview

The Respectful Relationships Sport and Recreation Program (RRSRP) is a family and domestic violence primary prevention program which focuses on promoting respectful relationships and gender equality in sport and recreation clubs and organisations in Western Australia.

The Program’s aim is to give sport and recreation organistions’ staff the skills they need to support members and participants to build relationships that are non-violent, equal, mutually respectful and trusting, and includes:

  • Professional learning for organisations’ staff, volunteers and members

  • Information, tools, and resources about respectful relationships and gender equality, and

  • Support for organistions to implement a whole of organistion approach to violence prevention.

The program is a key initiative within Path to Safety: Western Australia’s Strategy to Reduce Family and Domestic Violence 2020-2030.
