Gender-based violence occurs in the context of gender inequality and other forms of oppression and discrimination. To prevent violence, we need to transform the social norms, practices and structures that sustain inequality and condone violence. This means working across all levels of society to create a world where everyone is equal, safe and respected.
PVT works alongside individuals, organisations and communities across Western Australia to strengthen evidence-informed, collaborative and intersectional primary prevention practice. We believe effective prevention is a collective effort. Whether you’re a dedicated prevention practitioner or someone looking to embed prevention into your organisation, workplace or community, there’s a role for you in creating change.
